Hydraulic System
Mine Roller Hydraulic System Modification

Our customer identified potential labor-saving application requiring the repurposing of a Mine Roller self-contained Hydraulic System. Small, bottom dump trailers are used to transport harvested walnuts from the field to the huller/dehydrator. The weight of a full trailer required more than one person to safely lift it onto the towing vehicles hitch.
The Self-Contained Hydraulic unit require rewiring and the fabrication of a local control scheme. Additionally, the System was designed to be used on a 24 vdc vehicular platform so this necessitated the design of a 12 to 24 volt switching system that allowed it to be used on a work truck platform wired for 12 vdc.

Hydraulic Trailer Lift in Operation
The control panel comes in two versions. The first allows the operator to selectively transition from 12 to 24 volt, turn the pump on and off and extend or retract the hydraulic ram assembly. In the second versions the operator switches from 12 to 24 volt operation and controls pump run and ram movement with one switch.
